Typically if you visit the about us section of any site it is either to:
- Satisfy yourself that the site is run by people you identify with.
- Do some research before calling to sell something.
If you fall into the first group then you are a skydiver, want to be a skydiver or are kindly doing some research for your partner who is too busy skydiving to do it themselves….. Either way you want to know that the site is run by skydivers, owned by skydivers and that we can’t answer your call right now because we are too busy skydiving….
If you fall into group 2 please note we can’t answer your call right now as we are out skydiving.
It would be easy to say that the site is owned and run by skydivers, that we live and breath skydiving, but that’s not true.
The truth
SkydiveWorldwide.com is part of the AWE365.com which is a network of 18 sites about different adventure sports ranging from skydiving to snowboarding and mountain biking to scuba diving. It is owned and run by Luke and Nathan who are 2 guys in their mid (or late according to my wife) 30′s.
Are we into all 18 sports? No. We barely have time to do 3 of them on a regular basis and 3 or 4 others on an irregular basis…
Are we passionate about adventure sports? Yes and its the reason we run this network of sites.
Outsourced expert knowledge and passion
If we don’t know a sport inside out we won’t pretend that we do. Instead we work with skydivers to write our content, in most cases they make their living from the sport. This means the site is infused with passion for skydiving and laden with useful tips by skydive experts.
So what do Luke and Nathan do? While the writers are out skydiving, testing gear, teaching others to skydive and generally too busy to run websites we keep the 18 sites running and answer those dreaded sales calls….
(Please note this is not a promise to answer sales calls! We may not be skydivers but are into our adventure sports – in my case I may be trying to negotiate logs on my mountain bike, trekking up a mountain or trying to find some powder to shred.)
